It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John David Martin in Richmond, Virginia, born in Alexandria, Virginia, who passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Martin (McAllister) and Arlin Martin; his brother Thomas Wilbur Martin; and his wife Sandra Martin (Hancock). He is survived by: his brother Jerry Patrick Martin (Mary Lee) of Santa Barbara, Calif.; his sons, Todd Martin (Wendy) of Richmond and Andrew Martin of New York City; and his grandchildren, Stuart, Olympia, Calder, Josie Spurney (Ryan), Garnett and Miles.
