Jon Edgar Absher Jr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on July 11, 2023, at the age of 76, Jon Edgar Absher Jr. (Richmond, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Edgar Absher, Sr. and Maxine Barnes Absher; his children, Pamela Torrez of Chesterfield, John Absher (Fran) of Midlothian, Jill Brishke (Bill) of Chesterfield and Joy Maleta (John) of Goochland; his grandchildren, Samantha, Daniel, Katelyn, Grace, Avery, Jack, Bo and Reagan; his wife Patricia; his children, Kelsey Johnson (Daniel) and Dallas Gearhart (Leigh); and his grandchildren, Skylar, Archer, Piper and Maisy.
In lieu of flowers, Eddie's family believes that contributions should be made to the Virginia Lottery as we aren't sure that he gave quite enough during his time here; every week was sure to be his winning week! Truly though, contributions should be made to the Wounded Warrior Project - a cause and organization doing wonderful work with a mission that meant so much to Eddie.
