It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karina Simon Slaughter of Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on March 4, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis T. Simon and Roslyn M. Simon. She is survived by: her husband John G. Slaughter; her son William L. Simon, Sr. (Cathy); her grandchildren, Olivia S. Maynes (Michael) and William L. Simon, Jr.; her sisters, Linda S. Bannister (Carlisle), Roslyn S. Walker (Tom) and Lourie S. Sledd (Ken); her sister-in-law Betty S. Tatum; her niece-in-law Wendy T. Fields (John); and her nephew-in-law Troy L. Tatum (Brandy). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
