Cheryl Benton wrote a sympathy message

“Jay, I am so sorry for the loss of Katharine. I remember so well telling you if you didn’t hurry up and marry her some doctor was going to snatch her up. I said this to you regularly when you would come by the bank at Carytown. Katharine and I met at Dominion Bank on German School Road. She left there and went to nursing school. May you and the girls find peace that passes all understanding. The memories you have, hopefully, will sustain you during these difficult times. Cheryl Benton”
