She was predeceased by: her parents, James Blair Gardner and Frances Alexander Gardner; and her son-in-law John E. Miller. She is survived by: her husband Jim; her children, Deborah Miller, Susan Barr and James A. Barr (Megan); her grandchildren, Christopher Boswell (Megan), Blair Magnano (Bobby), Jonathan Vaught, Benjamin Vaught (Katie), Amanda Rachelle Barr (Erik Simpson), Laura Barr-Jones (Patrick Jones) and Christina Barr (Jesse Perrault); and her great grandchildren, Julia Boswell, Bryce, Barrett Lawson, Talia, Ben, Henry Vaught, Eliot and Gwennaelle Fourquemin.
Gifts in remembrance of Kay may be made to First Baptist Church, 2709 Monument AVE, Richmond, Virginia or to her son Al's church, Central Baptist Church, 1922 Buckhorn RD, Mebane, North Carolina.
