He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey Sheffer; his grandson Eric Sheffer; his parents, Forest Sheffer and Mary Sheffer; and his siblings, Charlotte Reid, Forest Sheffer Jr. and Jean Coffey.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Sheffer; his son Christopher Sheffer; his grandchildren, Jessica Rolston (David) and Matthew Sheffer (Caitlyn); his great grandchild Noah; and his daughter-in-law Barbara Sheffer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
