He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack A. Salmon and Dolly M. Salmon (Dalton); his brothers, James Salmon and Jerry Salmon; and his nephew Marshall Salmon.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Salmon; his nieces, Laura Glantz and Karin Salmon; his nephew Andrew Salmon; his siblings-in-law, Susan Salmon, John and Charlene Lang; and his nieces, DeAnna Visser and Donna Carlson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Nelsen Funeral Home (4650 S Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Washington Memorial Park (6217 Memorial Dr, Sandston, VA 23150).
