He was predeceased by: his wife Lenora Caravati Smith; his daughter Karen Smith Tyler; his mother Marie Faigle Smith; and his brother Charles Terrence Smith. He is survived by: his children, Leigh Burke (Richard), Brandt Isaacs (Steve), Lowell Smith Jr. (Megan) and Marie Smith Swider; his son-in-law Chip Tyler; his sister Patricia Smith Kelley; and his nibling Big Lowell. He is also survived by his five children, 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
