He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hampton and Vassie Garrett Hampton. He is survived by: his siblings, Arnold Hampton of Galax, Nyoka Osborne of Virginia Beach, Carol Hampton of Austin and Virginia Traylor of Virginia Beach; and his neighbors, Vivian and John Colgrove. He is also survived by seven nieces and four nephews.
