We are sad to announce that on October 19, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Marie Markow Ward of Richmond, Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William B. "Buff" Ward; her parents, Joseph J. Markow, Sr. and Marie Markow; and her brothers, Joseph J. Markow, Jr. and Alexander T. Markow.
She is survived by: her siblings, Theodore J. Markow (Carol), Josephine Wallmeyer (Mickey), Jeanne Bridgforth and Jennie Dotts (Walter); and her stepdaughters, Amy W. Gosch (Gregg) and Carrie V. Grant (Jason). She is also survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bliley's Funeral Home (3801 Augusta Ave, Richmond, VA 23230). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St Peter's Catholic Church (800 E Grace St, Richmond, VA 23219).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Home or Massey Cancer Center at VCU.
