He was predeceased by: his parents, Mollie Ann Tucker and Thomas Lee Tucker; and his brother Leroy Bo Jones. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Lewis Tucker; his siblings, Cheryl Tucker and Marcellus Tucker (Francis); and his siblings-in-law, Cheryline Lewis and Larry Roberts. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Marshall's memory to: • The McShin Foundation (2300 Dumbarton Road, Richmond, VA 23228) to support addiction recovery efforts for those in the prison system • Men Following Christ Program at Saint Paul's Baptist Church (4247 Creighton Road, Richmond, VA 23223).

“I humbly offer my sincere condolences to the Tucker family at the hour of bereavement. I am one of the thousands of recovering people who has been in recovery for 15 1/2 year. I am 65 years old, and I had the privilege and the opportunity to meet and speak with Marshall on many occasions. He always had that big affectionate smile of his. It was positively contagious. I heard him share his story many times, every time I heard it, it gave me a shot of hope. RIP my recovering friend.”
