She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Wells Murphy Shortt, Lynn Murphy Tucker (John) and Robert S. Murphy, Jr. (Katie); her grandsons, Andrew Shortt (Cass), Matthew Shortt (Bobbi Jo), John T. Tucker, IV (Makenna) and Michael R. Tucker (Karen); her sister Ruth Catlin of Farmville; and her sister-in-law Alice Murphy of Richmond. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
