Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie A. Newkirk and Eva O. H. Newkirk; and her sisters, Pearl N. Forrest (Richard), Susie N. Wright-Coleman (Charlie), Dorothy N. Chavis (Joseph), Virginia N. Johnson (Bernard), Willie N. Harris, Clara N. Dawson and Blanche N. Penn.
She is survived by: her sister Evelyn N. Lively (Robert); and her goddaughter Denise Lawson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
