Mildred H. Gallagher Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred H. Gallagher (Richmond, Virginia), who passed away on April 12, 2024 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Myrtle Carver High and John Fredrick "Buck" High; her brothers, Marvin High (Mary), Woody High (Gaynelle) and Leon High; her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Herndon High and Lynda Gallagher Metzner; her former life partner Raymond W. "Tinker" Miller, Jr.; her niece Nancy High; her nephew Rob Metzner; and her granddaughter Kathryn Ann Tyree.
She is survived by : her brother Clinton Carver High; her sister-in-law Carolyn Wood High; her children, Raymond "Ray" Gallagher (Linda), Patricia "Pat" Tyree (Lee) and Joseph "Joe" Gallagher (Judy); her grandchildren, Sean Gallagher, Stephen Gallagher (Mandy), Jennifer "Jenny" Tyree Sayre and Claire Gallagher Moore (Andrew); and her great grandchildren, Alexa, Carmen, Peyton, Cabel, Corson, Addison and Carolyn Ann.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 1:30 PM.
The family, in accordance with Mickey's wishes, asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to support St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. While Mickey loved the beauty of flowers, she expressed her desire to see donations not go to petals that would wither, but rather to furthering the Kingdom of God.
