It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Smith Scarborough in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on July 4, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stella Smith and Wylie Smith; and her sister Diane. She is survived by: her husband Dave Ryan; her sons, Charles and Michael; and her grandchildren, Charlie Jr., Peter, Phoebe and Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory may be made to the Assateague Alliance Foundation, an organization devoted to preserving and protecting the wild horses of Assateague Island.
