It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Neva Simpson Melton of Richmond, Virginia, born in Salem, Indiana, who passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Simpson and Gladys Simpson; her brothers, Robert and Orvil Simpson; and her great grandchild Nathan Taylor.
She is survived by: her brother Dennis Simpson; her sons, Ronald W. Melton (Eileen) and Rev. Steven R. Melton (Teresa); her grandchildren, Patricia (John II), Rebecca (James), Joshua and Kate; and her great grandchildren, Jackson, Drew, Elise and John III.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the INM Board, local fire department, rescue squad, church, or a project in Neva's memory.
