She was predeceased by: her son Jonathan Turner; her husband Nehemiah Braxton; her parents, Monroe Meade, and Eva Meade, Sr.; and her siblings, Haywood Meade and Mary Frances Meade.
She is survived by: her daughter Sheila Artiga; her son-in-law Oscar; her grandchildren, Khrystyna Kitt and Johnathon Kitt; her granddaughter-in-law Cherlyndria Lancaster; her great grandchildren, Eva Kitt-Artiga, Zephyr Lancaster, Jade Kelley and Atlas Lancaster; and her siblings, Patricia Meade, Delores Hembrick (John), Shellynne Hembrick and Monroe Meade, Jr. (Jeannie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dementia Society of America®, a tribute to her generous spirit and her commitment to making the world a better place.
