He is survived by: his significant other Patricia Rose Hayden "Patty" Ward; his daughter Meghan Ho (Martin); his grandchildren, Spencer, Walden, Paul Ward (Sheila) and Stuart Ward (Christine); his great grandchildren, Everly and Carson; his sisters, Nancy Ward Castlen, Jill Ward, Terri Ward and Sue Ward Theissen (Tim); his siblings-in-law, Carol Payne (Tom), Joan Hayden (Martin), Sherri Hayden, Bob Hayden (Tammy), George Hayden (Belinda), Jack Hayden (Nikki) and Becky Sowder (John); and his friend Lynda. He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bliley's Funeral Home (3801 Augusta Ave, Richmond, VA 23230). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (9505 Gayton Rd, Henrico, VA 23229).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Denny's honor to the American Heart Association, in recognition of his heart transplant journey, and GoochlandCares, in support of its mission to help neighbors in need.
