He was predeceased by: his parents, McKay Nelms and Josephine Nelms; and his sister Betty Ann Knight. He is survived by: his close friends, John Ross Bowers, Pace Fonville and Bowers Nelms; his wife Dianne; his children, Mike and Holly Fulton (Todd); his stepchildren, Brent and Lissa; his grandchildren, Mason, Lexi and McKay; his nieces, Linda, Lori, Cathy and Debbie; and his nephew Lee.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
