It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Winthrop Bradt Jr. (Richmond, Virginia), who passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Winthrop Bradt and Bertha Trickey; his former wife Barbara Vayo; and his sons, Jonathan Winthrop Bradt (Nancy) and Timothy James Bradt (Vicki).

He is survived by: his wife Julie Mebane Bradt; and his children, Natalie Mitchell (Rob), Pamela Bradt, Susan Gibbs (Dan) and Peter Barringer (Becca). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
