He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Wilder and Linda Costino; and his stepfather Mitch Costino. He is survived by: his son Benjamin Wilder (Jenniffer Garcia-Wilder); his grandchild Camila Wilder; his brothers, Bruce Wilder Jr. (Kirsten Wilder) and Mark Wilder (Christy Wilder); his stepmother Patricia Wilder; Laurel Wilder, Cody Wilder (Erinn Wilder), Fielding Wilder and Rhodes Wilder.

Shannon's life was made difficult with Retinitis Pigmentosa and later in life Early On-Set Alzheimer's, but his strength, optimism and courage made him such a special person.
