She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Henry Paessler and Mildred Binebrink Paessler; and her husband Thomas Peyton Carr, Jr.. She is survived by: her sister Karen Lyman; her siblings-in-law, Rick Lyman, Pat and Rod Layton; her sibling's children, Cale, Christopher Layton and Katherine Hofmann; and her friends, Linda Phelps, Helen Harrison, Roger Robertson, Carol and David DiFiori.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Green Mount Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Sandy wished for donations to be made to a cat rescue of your choice, cancer research, or Chapters Health Hospice.
