Sarojini Deevi Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on May 7, 2025, Sarojini Deevi in Richmond, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Sarojini shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Sarojini farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She is survived by: her husband Seetharama; and her children, Suleka and Sathish. She is also survived by uncles, aunts and cousins after losing her mother.

Her contributions to teaching and research have left an indelible mark on the field.
