She was predeceased by: her parents, James Jones and Erselle Jones; and her siblings, Oatha, Eugene, James Jones Claude, Alfredo, Trent, Elliot, Mamie Cotman, Ethel Navarro, Iris Jones, Iva "Mae" Torres and Rosa Brown.

She is survived by: her siblings, Eva Jones Sostre of Charles City and Harrison Jones of Henrico; and her niece Mary E. Jones.

Shirley's kindness also extended to her countless donations to worthy causes such as St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Children's International Network to name a few.
