She was predeceased by: her son Robert Walker Hazell; her parents, Robert Lee Rand, Jr. and Ann Powell Rand; and her siblings, Barbara Rand Richardson and Robert Harrison Rand of Richmond, VA..
She is survived by: her husband William Lee Hazell III of Kilmarnock, VA; her daughters, Paige Hancock Hazell (Tee Fallen) of Richmond, VA and Margaret Hazell Tilson of Virginia Beach, VA; her grandchildren, John Frederick Ames III, William Lee Ames of Richmond, VA, Robert Michael Tilson, Madeline Alexander Tilson and Claiborne James Tilson of Virginia Beach, VA; her stepgrandchildren, Hayes Thomas Fallen, Hunter Charles Fallen and Ella Frances Fallen; and her sisters, Ann Walden Rand Perry and Sarah Rand Braddock (Jim). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
