He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret C. Dougherty; and his son Dennis W. Dougherty. He is survived by: his children, Theresa Gee, Thomas P. Dougherty, Jr. (Robin), Ruth Palczynski (Michael), Michael O'Reilly (Denise) and Carey Leone (John); and his sister Barbara A. Dougherty. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
