It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wellford Edward Buchanan Sr. (Richmond, Virginia), who passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Carrington Buchanan and Gwelder Mae Ford Buchanan; and his brother Robert Buchanan. He is survived by: his children, Cathy Buchanan Lloyd (Jaime) and Eddie Buchanan (Tori); his sister Jean Buchanan France (Cliff); his grandchildren, Rhane Elder (Jordan Parsley), Willow Elder, Jacob Buchanan, Baylee Buchanan and Sam Lloyd (Noelle); and his friend Lauri Baily Giles. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
