With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Willard BeVille Mountjoy Jr. of Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on September 5, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Willard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Willard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard B. Mountjoy and Garnett Burch Mountjoy; his wife Arlene K. Mountjoy; and his great grandchild Malachi Mourie. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Mountjoy Mourie, William Christopher Mountjoy and Robin Mountjoy-Peak (Gregory J. Peak); his close friend Betty K. Peple; and his brother James B.. He is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
