In the vast expanse of eternity, William shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid William farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his wife Jeannette Tate Childress; his children, Chrissie Childress, Missy Poston, Thomas Childress and James "Scooter" Childress; his stepdaughters, Sydney Tate, Melissa Walz, Shannon Corker and Patricia Bivins; his sister Linda Eddy (Joe); and his daughter-in-law Tiffany Wilson (Gene). He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
