We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2023, at the age of 78, Douglas Smith (Ridgeway, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his mother Georgie Massengill Smith. He is survived by : his wife Linda Faye Smith; his daughters, DeAnna Pegram (Tommy) and JoAnna Griffith (Glenn); his sisters, Jimi Lawrence and Sue Carter; his grandchildren, Kara Tapscott (Kenny), Sarah Williams (Aaron), Hannah Rusgrove (Travis), Thomas Pegram (Krista), Chase Griffith and Reagan Griffith (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Hallie, Heidi and Liam.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 18075 A.L. Philpott Hwy, Ridgeway, VA 24148 or Mountain Valley Hospice, 240 Commonwealth Blvd W Unit 602B, Martinsville, VA 24112.
