It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Floyd Edward Hayes Jr. of Ridgeway, Virginia, who passed away on February 21, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Edward Hayes, Sr. and Nora Lee Watkins-Hayes; his wife Martha Hope Hairston-Hayes; and his sisters, Irene Hayes-Hahn and Barbara Jean Hayes Wade.
He is survived by: his children, Donna of Ridgeway, Virginia., Stephen of Ridgeway, Virginia., Floyd of Ridgeway, Virginia., Terri of Ridgeway, Virginia. and Iris Hayes of Ridgeway, Virginia.; his siblings, Yvonne Lipford (Raleigh) of Washington, DC, Mildred Ann Ward (Ernie), Loystean Hayes of Ridgeway, Virginia, Stafford Hayes of Ridgeway, Clyde Hayes of Los Vegas, Nevada, Michael Hayes (Michelle) of Gastonia and Donald Wayne Hayes of Ridgeway, Virginia; and his brother-in-law John Lester Wade of Fieldale, Virginia.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family, as well as many many many friends.
