He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Cox and Lula Clifton Cox; his wife Sue Watkins Cox; his daughter Amelia Cox; and his siblings, Lurenda Mitchell, Mary "Mae" Griffith, Lonnie Cox, Connis Cox and James "Chubby" Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Rigney (Bobby), Christin Minter (John) and Henry Willis Cox, Jr.; his brother Granville Cox (Pernie); and his granddaughter Caroline Rigney. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
