He was predeceased by: his parents, Howell Havens Shrader and Marjorie Riggs Shrader; his wife Fannie Rachael Cox Shrader; and his daughter Susan Gauldin. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Goodin (Jerry) and Howell Franklin Shrader, Jr. (Janet). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Wayside Baptist Church (1256 Morehead Ave, Ridgeway, VA 24148).
