He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nolen Byrd and Shirlie Jean Branch Shaw; his wife Jackie Lee McGuire Byrd; and his sister Vickie Byrd. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Wells (Tony) and Steven Byrd (Tiffany Hudgins); his siblings, Robin Byrd, Dickie Byrd, Jay Byrd (Denise) and Billy Byrd (Sheri); his grandchildren, Sierra Cochran (Jerry, III), Cole Watson (Ari), Matthew Byrd and Aidan Byrd-Hudgins; his goddaughter Brianna Fulp; his uncles, Bill and Kenneth; and also Kathy Hall.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Axton Baptist Church (173 Mountain Valley Rd, Axton, VA 24054).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kenneth Byrd's memory to Axton Baptist Church.
