He was predeceased by : his father George Stanfield of Washington; and his sisters, Essie Mae Miller and Florence Richardson. He is survived by : his wife Frances Galloway Stanfield; his children, Jessica Stanfield, Denise Carter, Larry Stanfield, Jr. (Mary), Cory Stanfield and John Carter, Jr.; and his brothers, Harold Stanfield (Brenda) and Anthony Stanfield (Mary). He is also survived by five grandchildren.
