It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Katherine Hammock of Ridgeway, Virginia, who passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Johnni Faye Martin Powell; and her grandparents, Virgil Estes Powell and Nellie Cloter Martin Powell. She is survived by: her father Virgil Lloyd Powell; her children, Tori Hammock Oliver (Will), Brian Scott Hammock (Christy) and Jason Bradley Hammock (April); her sister Deborah Ann Watkins; her boyfriend Curtis Durham; her grandchildren, Brian Scott Hammock, Jr., Mercedez Hammock, Jaden Hammock, Rylan Hammock, Grant Hammock (Elizabeth), Kolbe Oliver and William Oliver; and her great grandchildren, Everleigh and Ridge.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
