It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Martin Trail of Ridgeway, Virginia, born in Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on July 17, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, William Ernest Martin and Mary Evelyn "Crutchfield" Martin; her husband James Larry Trail; and her brothers, Daniel Ernest Martin, Clyde William Martin, Daryl Wayne Martin and Buford Mathew Martin.

She is survived by : her daughters, Marsha "Dee" Shew, Marie Lynn Foster and Sherb Renee King; her grandchildren, Somer Brook Shew, Joey Thomas, Nicole Thomas, Sissy Thomas, Autum Gayle Hyde, Tanner White and Ronald Eugene Hutton Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Zaelynn Leigon Penn, Jusiah Makiah Penn and Genesis O'Brien Penn.
