He is survived by: his sister Ruth Houchins Edwards; his former wife Gwendolyn Hayes Niblett; his wife Valeria Clark Edwards; his son Michael Edwards, Jr. (Ulonda) of Ridgeway, VA; his siblings, James Robert Edwards of Setauket, NY and Susan Torres (Jaime) of Ridgeway, VA; his grandchildren, MiChaela Edwards and U'Lyssa Edwards of Ridgeway, VA; and his aunts, Iris Patterson (Andrew), Barbara Payne Dalton, Charity Martin (Neil) of Ridgeway, VA and Edith Pitzer of Martinsville, VA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives.
