He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis V. Curtiss and Nettie Frey Curtiss; his wife Virginia Mikesell Curtiss; and his brother Robert Curtiss. He is survived by: his daughter Denise Curtiss McWhorter; his son-in-law Ryan James McWhorter; his brother Phillip Curtiss; and his nieces and nephews, April Curtiss Dudley (Cory), Alison Curtiss, Elizabeth Curtiss-Cabell (Jay), Westley Curtiss and Phillip Curtiss.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Future Farmers of America, the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA, and food/Amazon donations to the Henry County, VA Animal Shelter.
