With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jerry Trent Horton of Riner, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his sister Kay Howard; and his nephew Greg Howard. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Horton; his children, Mary Kay Mee (Bobby), David Horton and Laura Newell (Mark); his grandchildren, Ben, Seth, Jacob, Nathan, Ian and Zac; his brother Jan Horton (Dorothy); and his brother-in-law Jeff Howard. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Horne Funeral Home & Cremation Service (1300 N Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA 24073). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Auburn United Methodist Church or to the Riner Rescue Squad.
