She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ellis Milam and Flossie Meadows Milam; her husband John David "J. D." McCormick, Jr.; and her siblings, Wyvonnie Milam Haley, Lois Neal, Margaret Gravely and Billy Milam.

She is survived by: her son Jeffrey McCormick of Ringgold, VA; her sister Elsie Mills Taylor; and her grandchildren, A. J. McCormick and Madison McCormick. She is also survived by one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the Church of the Second Coming, 4172 Ringgold Church Road, Ringgold, VA 24586.
