He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralaigh Phelps and Eva Turner Phelps; and his siblings, Pete Phelps, Junior Phelps and Jane Phelps.
He is survived by: his wife Marian Phelps; his children, Timmy Phelps (Patty), Coleman Phelps, Jr. (Katrina), Karen Johns (Steve), Norma Rowland (Donald) and Julia Phelps; and his sister Carrie Phelps. He is also survived by five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
