He is survived by: his wife Linda Dawson Shelton; his children, Danielle Shelton of Ringgold, Ann Shelton of Danville and Tim Shelton of Chatham; his grandchildren, Anastasia Boles, Ethan Evans, Evan Shelton and Emanuel Shelton; and his siblings, Fuschia Shelton of South Carolina, Juanita Shelton of Fredericksburg, Jerry Lee Shelton (Joan) of Lynchburg and Junior Irby of Fredericksburg. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
