He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Mason Tate, Sr. and Virginia Frances Wiles Tate; and his sister-in-law Mary Beth Tate. He is survived by: his spouse Shelby Stanfield Tate of Ringgold; his children, Jason Wiles Tate, Jr. (Kimber), Jody Edward Tate (Teresa) and Stacye Tate Cassidy; his grandchildren, Joshua Tate, Kelsey Hartman (Cody), Justin Tate, Kyrstin Tate, Jaydin Tate and Drake Cassidy; and his siblings, Edward Mason Tate, Jr. and Diane Smithey (Tony).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church or Ringgold Volunteer Fire Department.
