He is survived by: his spouse Jean Guill Adkins; his grandson Jonathan Thomas Adkins; his nieces and nephews, Sharon Adkins Simms (Walter), Sheila Adkins Dodson, Patrick Boyd Adkins (Hannah), Jeffrey Gene Barbour (Roberta) and Michael Lynn Barbour; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Guill Barbour and Toni Boyd Adkins.
