We announce the death of Alice Spradling Carr (Roanoke, Virginia), who passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 82. Alice will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Scott and Dora Frances Spradling; her husband Carley Lee Carr; her brothers, Leroy and Sam Spradling; and her brother-in-law Bruce Kropff.
She is survived by: her children, Carla Ralston (Mike) and Scott Carr (Lindsey); her granddaughters, Alicia Brickey (Casey), Riley Carr and Michele Ralston; her friend Cheryl Basnett; her sister Velma Kropff; and her sisters-in-law, Pattie Pollard and Dorothy Spradling.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oakey's South Chapel (4257 Brambleton Ave, Cave Spring, VA 24018). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
