Allen Derescoe Moore Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen Derescoe Moore of Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Elmer Moore and Zennie Clark Moore; and his siblings, George Nelson Moore, Loretta Jean Vance, John Thurman Moore and Lawrence Vincent Moore.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Beatrice Reynolds of Roanoke, Shelia Dianne Moore of Roanoke, Marzennia Gail Warren of Roanoke, Constance Vereen Turner of Stafford, VA and Juanita Scott of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home & Crematory (1002 Moorman Ave NW, Roanoke, VA 24016). Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jerusalem Baptist Church (1014 Norfolk Ave SW, Roanoke, VA 24016). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the Williams Memorial Park (943 Westside Blvd NW, Roanoke, VA 24017).
