With sadness, we share the passing of Anna Ruth Newman Reeves of Roanoke, Virginia. Anna Ruth, born on September 26, 1931, passed away on October 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Thompson Reeves, Jr.; her parents, Margaret Pruitt and Frances Marion Newman; and her stepmother Marie Newman. She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Mohr (Tom); her grandsons, William (Andrea) and Robert; her great grandchildren, Reeves and Elliott; and her siblings, Frances Newman Boykin (Bill) and Ronald Newman (Patricia).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Westhampton Memorial Park (10000 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238).
