We are sad to announce that, on December 8, 2025, at the age of 90, Banate Ellis of Roanoke, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouses, Edward (Ed) and Ellis; her parents, Elias Moujaes and Hannah Moujaes; and her siblings, Talka Yousseph, Rose Tanios, Mary Azar (Eid), Frangieh Azar (Jris) and Marguerite Murray (Ferris).
She is survived by: her son Pierre (Tammy); her grandchildren, Charles Aesy III, Alexis Ellis, Victoria Aesy and Christina Ellis; and her brother Shahid Moujaes (Marie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the building fund at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church, 4730 Cove Road, Roanoke, VA 24017. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at http://www.simpsonfuneral.com.
