Barbara Jean Karnes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2025, at the age of 92, Barbara Jean Karnes of Roanoke, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Belcher and Bessie Belcher; her husband Andrew Terrell Karnes; and her siblings, Paul "Price" Belcher, Irvin Belcher, Richard Belcher, Michael Belcher, Betty Noble and Evelyn Welsh.
She is survived by: her sons, Tommy Karnes and Terrell Karnes (Bonnie); her grandchildren, Jason Karnes (Marissa), Shannon Deel (Josh) and Carrie Karnes (Spencer); and her sisters, Marietta Meador and Juanita Barbour. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oakey's Vinton Chapel (627 Hardy Rd, Vinton, VA 24179). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to: Vinton Baptist Church, 219 Washington Ave., Vinton, VA 24179, in Barbara's honor.
